Spellbook is a Microsoft Word add-in. That works for firms that draft entirely inside Word. Spellbook runs on Azure OpenAI. Microsoft's commercial terms include EU Data Boundary commitments, but the underlying inference is on infrastructure subject to US law and to Microsoft's sub-processor disclosures. For European firms with strict transfer-mechanism analysis, that creates documentation friction.
